Lisa Vanderveen Receives Dairy Scholarship

EAST LANSING,  Mich.—Grand Haven resident Lisa VanderVeen has been awarded a $1,500 Freshman Scholarship by the Michigan Dairy Memorial and Scholarship Foundation, Inc.
  Lisa is one of six incoming Michigan   State University students to receive these scholarships. Awards are based on academics, extracurricular activities and interest in dairy industry careers. These six are among 30 students who received more than $85,000 in dairy scholarships for the 2008-09 academic year.          
  The Michigan Dairy Memorial and Scholarship Foundation, Inc. oversees the largest scholarship program in the MSU College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. It is the university‚Äôs second largest scholarship program; only the athletic scholarship program is larger.
