FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Teens 14 to 19 years old can take part in the first 4-H Business and Entrepreneurship Expo during the annual 4-H Exploration Days, June 18-20 at Michigan State University.
This session focuses on helping teens gain the knowledge and understanding to become their own bosses and profit from their endeavors. Three tracks are planned: “Be Your Own Boss”, “Profiting From Your Market Livestock Project” and “Growing Your Farm Stand Business.”
The 4-H Business Expo hopes to help youth gain the ability to grow a financially stable business, which in turn will help boost Michigan’s economy. This innovative out-of-the-classroom education is a valuable experience that can benefit students for the rest of their lives. More than 100 participants are expected to attend the business expo.
4-H Exploration Days, and the 4-H Business and Entrepreneurship Expo, take place on the campus of Michigan State University. Youth stay in residence halls and take part in sessions located across campus and in the surrounding area. This event is open to both 4-H club members and nonmembers.
Visit www.msue.msu.edu/cyf/youth/ for more information about the Business and Entrepreneurship Expo or any other 4-H event.
The MSU Extension 4-H Youth Development Program was established in 1908. Its mission is to create nonformal educational opportunities to help youth thrive in a complex and changing world.
