The newly crowned Miss Michigan, Ashlee Baracy, will appear July 17 in the CANR tent at Ag Expo, Michigan’s largest farm show. During her appearance, Baracy will sign autographs, pose for pictures with Ag Expo visitors, assist with the CANR tent children’s craft area and serve birthday cake in celebration of the CANR tent’s fifth anniversary.
Baracy is recognized for her dedication to volunteerism, particularly as an advocate for breast cancer awareness. Her mother’s 2003 diagnosis of (and recovery from) stage three breast cancer inspired Baracy to found the online support network “Daughters Supporting Mothers with Breast Cancer” (www.bcdaughters.com).
For pedestrian safety, TV vehicles should use Expo's west gate (next to the MSU Credit Union on Crescent Drive). All other media units should use the gate from Mt. Hope. Golf carts will be available at the headquarters tent each day for media use on a first-come, first-served basis.
