area by the new barn at the Pasture Dairy Research & Education Center.
Public parking will be available at the Dairy Visitors Center and in an
area south of the new pasture.)
A grand opening and public open house for the Kellogg Biological Station (KBS) Pasture Dairy Research and Education Center will be held Aug. 19. A dedication celebration for invited stakeholders will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will feature remarks by representatives from MSU, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Lely Robotic Milking systems, the Michigan Department of Agriculture and industry leaders. A public open house will follow from 1 to 4:30 p.m. during which community members are invited to tour the new facility.
Photo opportunities: Ribbon cutting, 10 a.m.; guided tour of the dairy, 10 a.m.; luncheon remarks, 11:30 p.m.; public tours 1-4:30 p.m. Self-guided tours feature presentations on the following:
